Tarigagay USA

From the title you probably are thinking what that is right? Well Tarigagay USA is an organization within my family where we come together a group and invite family friends, co-workers, etc. to come and join our festivities. This past weekend was our 26th Anniversary Ball and Coronation. Basically every other year during I would say April and do like a vote but with money to choose a new Queen and runners up. The candidate with the most money total is the new queen and the others are the princesses. Its a bit confusing for the most part but its fun and it brings us together. So, like I said, this past weekend we had the ball, and held it at the Grand Hyatt here in Santa Clara, CA. Now my "aunties" were the runners up, and had asked me to do their hair and makeup. I couldn't resist and had to say yes. Not only one of them had asked me but 6...YES, 6 of my "aunties" had asked me to turn them to an even more beautiful person than they already are.

My only mistake that I had done was not taking pictures of the whole process and results. I know, I know, I should have known better. In my defense, I just had no time at all what-so-ever. I started at 11:30am and finished the last one at about 6:30pm and the event started at 6. So you can only imagine how frustrated and pressured I felt to finish my last "auntie".  But in the end it was all worth it. One by one, I saw each and every single one walk down the aisle and told myself that I did that. I made them look like that. Now to some people, that may sound really conceded, but for me its like an accomplishment. I never thought that I would be able to take on a hair and makeup job like that all by myself. I loved seeing all of them done up, and happy with the way they look, because I have always thought that I would never be able to pull off something like that.

There was one more but she was not a candidate.

After all that work, it was nothing but having fun and celebrating life with my family, and I had such a blast I can't wait for next year, and the next after that because the coronation only happens every other year. Regardless I always have a great time with my family, and I love them to death. Until next post, I thank you for reading my very first one.
